January Summary + Beta 0.2.0 Update

Howdy everyone! Time for a quick recap of the past month to let you know where we are at and what's next.

---------- Where We Are At ----------

Unfortunately 2021 started out with Andrew and his family contracting Covid. Thankfully they are all healthy now, but it did come with some setbacks.  Andrew's primary symptom was brain fog and fatigue, which is not exactly a programmer's best friend.  Even still, we were able to keep being productive working on TitanCraft.

Updated our Posing Engine

One of our primary goals over the past few weeks was to rebuild and strengthen our posing engine.  With the introduction of monsters, you introduce dozens of unique skeletons that all need to behave. Our beta is now using this updated system, and we would love all the help we can get testing it. (Early Access backers go!!)

We should be adding some preset poses in the next month.

Saving, Loading & Deleting

Along side with posing, we added the ability to save, rename, duplicate, load and delete monsters. 

There is one BIG caveat to monsters saved during the beta which is:

saved monsters created in the beta may be deleted in future beta updates, and will be deleted when the official site launches.

So, don't spend too much time getting attached to your creations you make in Early Access. :)  

---------- What's Next ----------

Our immediate next steps include:

• Adding another monster to the beta
• Exporting STL's

Note: once we add STL exports into the beta, only backers at the All-In STL Bundle or Merchant Tier will be able to export STL files since they have access to all Kickstarter monsters.

After we have taken care of those couple things we will focus on fixing bugs and:

• Adding more monsters to the beta
• Finish developing our cart/checkout system

That's all for now. We're still on-track for our April release, and will keep you updated with how things are coming along.

Where Is My Kickstarter Reward Code?

Help, I've backed the project but haven't received my reward code!?

If you are wondering where your Kickstarter reward code is, then this update is for you.

1st - you need to have completed your BackerKit survey!

BackerKit surveys were sent back in November. BackerKit surveys are sent to the email associated with your Kickstarter account. You can no longer select add-ons, but we still need you to complete the survey. In the survey you can provide us with an alternate email address you would like your reward sent to in addition to your Kickstarter email.

After you complete your survey, you should receive your code within the next week.

2nd - check your SPAM and INBOX folders

If you have completed your BackerKit survey and still haven't seen your reward code, please make sure to check your SPAM folder as well as your inbox. Some of our backers have reported their code getting sent to their spam folder. The subject of the email will be "Claim your TitanCraft Kickstarter Rewards!".

If you have completed your survey, and still can't find your code in your inbox or spam folder, please contact us: [email protected]

Once you have your code, follow the instructions found in our previous update.

Beta is live!

Early Access Starts Now!

As promised, our end-of-the-year first beta is live! All you early-access backers can now create accounts and mess around with the new Treant model in the live editor. :party:

Who gets early access? Backers who pledged:

• TPK STL Bundle
• ALL-IN STL Bundle
• MERCHANT LICENSE
• Standard Monster Mini
• Deluxe Monster Mini
• Evolution Bundle
• Party Pack

The Basic STL Bundle and Basic Monster Mini do not include Early Access.

Keep in mind it is still in beta. :) Some functionality is still locked down while we develop it, including the ability to export files. We'll reintroduce those features later on.

For any bugs that you encounter in the demo, feel free to email us or share them in our discord where we have a dedicated channel for reporting bugs.

How to get Early Access

We will be sending emails out in waves over the next couple days with your Kickstarter reward code. Make sure to check both your inbox and spam folders. You will need this code to link your Kickstarter rewards and have access to the beta. After you get your TitanCraft Kickstarter reward email,

1. Create an account at titancraftminis.com

2. Verify the email address for your new TitanCraft account

3. Under your User Profile on titancraftminis.com, select My Coupons

4. Click Add Coupon and enter your 16 digit code

5. Review your rewards to make sure they look correct, and click Ok

Year End Summary

A lot of our time over the past few weeks has been spent coordinating with artists, helping backers with various pledge issues, setting up our official website, setting up server related items, setting up user accounts, creating Kickstarter reward codes, getting our editor setup on the new server, etc. As such, we only were able to get 1 monster ready for the beta, but we're happy with where we are at and the progress we've made. 2020 has been quite the year, and 2021 can't come soon enough.

Last Day for Add-ons!

This is your friendly reminder that today is the last day for you to fill out the BackerKit survey that was sent to your email. This survey allows you to upgrade your pledge or select add-ons. After today, all orders will be locked in. If you don't fill out the survey, your order will be locked in at the pledge level you backed during the Kickstarter.
